My dear friends Lauren and Tim are big time gamer nerds. Lauren, being crafty, put a "Mr and Mrs" stencil on a game controller and showed it to me when I went to do their "Save the Date" photo (which was gamer themed, with controller cords wrapped around them). When I saw the controller I had the instant idea to put the ring on it and shoot it with my Canon EOS 5DS-r and 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. I the controller on a cheap tray stand they had that was black and reflective, then balanced the ring on the one thumb stick. The lighting came from one Canon 430EXII flash that I hand held on a remote trigger. 1/125 sec at f/10, ISO 320. Lauren and Tim loved the image.
