Late in the day, but before the typical golden hour, the shadows on the sand dunes at Great Sand Dunes National Park really start to become dramatic. Even better, the crowds diminish as well however they are replaced by some pretty strong winds. This shot was taken handheld on a Nikon D750, 300mm, f/9, 1/320 sec, ISO 500.
