I like the concetp. In my personal opinion, I think this picture would have called for symmetry, ergo, placing the subjects in the middle of the frame.
Understand what you are saying and I would like to do the same. However, 20 feet to right of camera or so was the side/edge of the building and a bunch of empty green space.
