2.81 - "Solid"

This image was taken on the way to Gamla Stan in Stockholm where there typically are lots of interesting street photography angles with lots of people and narrow alleys. But as I walked over the road on my way there I looked up and saw this amazing wall with this shadow I turned on my heel and raised my camera. I took some ten pictures in a short while. This was the last one. The colors have been adjusted in post. The reds is a more subdued orange in reality. Otherwise no trickery has been used on this picture.

Great Shot

Thanks a lot! Great to hear.

Very nice shot. Love the hard shadows and the contrast.

Thanks a lot! Glad that you liked it.

Nailed it!

Thank you! I’m very happy with it.

Finally in this gallery- an interesting and creative street shot!

Thanks a lot!

Where's the man's shadow?

He’s walking in the shadow.

I think you can afford to crop a tad more on the left, possibly up to the wall of this main building ( there seems to be a man in a white shirt, which is a bit distracting, along with the building on the top). However, still a solid shot. Nice work!

Good input. The reason that I kept it was because I felt that it gave the picture a bit more depth.

Personally, I would waited until someone was walking in the opposite direction..........

No need to edit or change a thing that what makes it yours. I don't know where to look ! That is what makes it so complicated and hypnotic. I love that its in focus too. I think i've been staring for 20 minutes now.

One of many benefits of working with the aperture at f16. :)
