2 shot light painting composite of a Schecter Hellraiser V1 guitar. Fiber optic wand used to draw the streaks, small LED flashlight used to bring out the details in the front.

I think composite CTC was the previous one ;).

I thought about submitting this for the last critique, but pretty much all the composite work I've done so far felt a bit low skill/effort compared to what I've seen posted.

While I like that you were trying new techniques here, the image doesn't work for me. I don't see the light work as a compliment or enhancement to the guitar. Maybe if they were softer or a smoother flow around the guitar. The stripes in the light are too sharp. A crisp dark guitar, all hard edges and lines in front of some soft swirls and curves of light would be awesome. Particularly if some of the light was whisping off like music/sound releasing from the guitar. i realize this sounds awfully mushy arty but there you have it! :o) I think this has great potential and would love to see v2! I would recommend continuing to explore this.

Thanks for the feedback! I did actually make another version of this during the same shoot, although this one is the softer/smoother of the two.

LOVE it! You are very talented! So glad you sent the link.

If it's light painting, it's not really a composite from my perspective, love how you used LEDs and optical fiber for this stuff, this definitely brings out the idea of tech

Pretty cool, if there were such a thing as cd's and records these days this could definitely be album art. :)
