I've been trying to remember the "it's what you have with you" philosophy lately, and so have been stopping and shooting things as I see them instead of thinking "oh I wish I had my Kit with me right now." The quality is not what I prefer, but I'm getting some good practice at situational awareness to my surroundings. This sculpture of a swordfish chasing prey hangs from the pergola/awning entrance to a local restaurant here at the coast, called Ventana. Even though it has probably been there since the place opened, and I go there quarterly for a standing meeting event, I just had not looked up when entering or leaving before. This time I took out the cell phone to capture a shot of an impressive moonrise, and while doing so started paying attention to what else was around me. Here's the result...
