I know that technically this isn't great, it's quite a heavy crop from shot at the Pendleton Round-Up taken on my D750 and 70-200mm f2.8, but I like the action that it depicts and is one of a series that capture this event showing how the action unfolds. I chose this one as it best represents the crux of the sequence. 1/2500 at f8 and ISO 1000 with the high ISO because I was totally hand-held and wanted to be sure I could freeze the action in quite variable lighting.

Congratulations to the winners!
Definitely a good capture of the action.
I gave it a 2. It's an amazing shot. to make it a 3.. mm.. The main thing would be the quality. Probably as you had to crop in quite heavily? (or possibly the fault lies with the website)
Thanks Steven, yes it's only 1600 pixels on the long edge now as it is indeed a heavy crop. The RAW file does look a gnats sharper on my end but I'll blame the lack of a longer lens rather than the web conversions here.
