Submit Your Best "Backlit" Photograph

Would love constructive criticism. My brother showed me this awful image of this indie rapper, with nice, dramatic clouds but really unflattering, cold, direct flash, saying he wanted an image just like it. Did my best to accommodate his request while coming up with an image that I would be happy to put my name on, and this is what I came up with. I used the bounce card on my on-camera flash for fill and obviously the sun in the background. Only made global adjustments, (tint and white balance) rest is SOC.
