Star Chaser
Enjoy the view from outside the Euphoria Retreat’s restaurant in Mystras, Greece on the Peloponnese. I captured this image during a rare and peaceful foggy morning just as the rising sun highlighted the beautiful scenery. The eye follows the subtle arcing jet stream down to the mystical separation in the layered mountain range and lingers on the strip of mist hugging the Greek idyllic countryside. This image is pretty much straight out of camera with very little editing needed. Nature did all the work for me and I was simply there and present at the right moment.
I love the moodiness of this shot and I'm always a sucker for beautiful layering of mountains (I have some great shots myself). If I had one suggestion it would be to crop most of the upper sky out. The jet trail does not add enough to the scene and I feel distracts from the overall impact.
Thank you so much for your feedback. I really appreciate it. For me, the jet stream makes the image. It adds an extra element that ties the foreground the otherwise empty sky.
