Exploring an ice cave far from the masses. We hiked 12 miles to set foot in a cave that no one had been in before. Alaska makes it easy to stay isolated and yet still explore and see cool stuff.

Epic photo. Jealous of it, but epic none the less.
Definitely epic! ...but doesn't feel very quarantiney
I just read it as submit photos taken during the quarantine. Thankfully in Alaska we're encouraged to go outside and just avoid people. I shot this Wednesday and we hiked 12 miles to visit a cave that no one had set foot in before. We couldn't get much more isolated than that. More likely to catch a disease that's been frozen in the ice for 2,000 years. Not sure if it's exactly what the mods were wanting, but I did take it under the quarantine rules we're following at the moment. Glad you like the photo. I'm trying to complete my "Burn it Down" series of flare pictures inside glaciers.
Don't worry, I'm not throwing shade against anyone's quarantine options! I wish I was allowed to travel outside into nature, I would be out into the wilderness immediately!!!
You're definitely well within the broad rules of the critique. But for this critique I give extra weight to photos that also capture the current crisis in unique ways.
I completely understand.
Love it !
Thanks! Epic experience
now that is a cool way to use color!
Pretty close to my favorite color combo with the blue inside an ice cave. Due to the monochrome look when deep inside, it's almost overpowering whenever we light one of the flares.
