The family has been getting cabin fever so we decided to dress up my daughter for early easter photos. Since social distancing i have not had the privilege to photograph any portraits other than my daughter . After 3 weeks it felt good to fire up the flash and get some images.

This probably sounds wrong how ever I say it, but what makes this a 4 Star picture? I really don't see it at all. Maybe someone with more experience can tell me what sets this picture apart from others.
This is not de be disrespectful, this is a nice picture, just not 4 star for me, but I'm happy to learn and see it in a different light. Thank you.

In most cases, 4 star images have a certain style to them that links them directly to their creator. 4 star images usually require planning and attention to extreme detail. It's almost impossible to shoot a 4 star image by getting lucky. 4 star images have almost flawless conception, composition, lighting, subject matter, and postproduction. If you have any 4 star images in your portfolio you should be very proud of yourself."
This is according to the Fstoppers rating system. The beauty of photography is that it is subjective. What others may find good / great , may be a terrible example in other people's opinion .
Well thank you for reposting this, but this really does not answer my question. I don't see how these criteria apply to this picture. "extrem Attention to detail" is not really give for me in this picture, especially the floor is very distracting for me and way to bright. So maybe someone can explain in his own words why this is still excellent.
Again I dont try to hate on this picture, but if there is a big gap between what I think and others think, then there seems to be something I am missing.

I really like this photo. The concept, the lighting, and the falloff so attention goes to the face. Great expression, btw. The subject's hand is a tad distracting; strained, appearing hook-like and out of place with the overall softness of the image. But I know it's hard to pose children. Thank you for sharing.
