The shelter-in-place has encouraged me to explore and take photographs during my daily walks. I came across this gas station at sundown and was struck by the emptiness of it--how the scene seemed to exude an eerie, lonely persona. www.kendallehalliburton.com

Haha it's called Touchless. How appropriate.

The light pole in the foreground is distracting. Aside from that, Really love the color, composition, and dynamic range.

Thank you so much! So, regarding your critique on the pole, another photographer friend of mine thought the light poles (there are two in the image--one to the left and one to the very far right) created tension, as though someone was looking behind a corner or hiding. They also liked the orange colors on the light pole. It is really cool to hear and read differing critiques! Thanks again.

I can see both sides of the argument. I like the idea of creating tension by subframing, but I think in this case the post on the right side would have been sufficient to create that feeling. My view wanders from the right post to the lit post in the middle under the "touchless" and would like to stay there, but the left post just draws it out again. But anyway, very nice shot :-)

Thank you Sascha!
