Capturing the emotions of our cellist, Alyssa, isn't complete without bringing some of her movement into frame. Gently pulling on fishing line pinned to the hem of her dress causes swaying back and forth, as the LED modelling lights on our Profoto B1s blur its movement over a 3.2s exposure. A separate rear-curtain flash goes off to freeze her upper half, while flags block our two light sources from mixing. Shot on a Canon EOS 5DS R, at 24mm, and f/20.
