What is a Firework shot without a slow shutter to blur it into what you think it should look like. Ten second exposure. I saw this family sanding there with their bikes and thought they made a great foreground for a small town firework show. They wen't aware I was taking their picture fireworks just have a way of making people stop and stare.

Nice job on this Troy, composition I feel is very well done. Immediately I thought of the movie The Sandlot during the firework scene.
Thank you very much! Great movie, happy to have the comparison.
I generally like the composition on this one. If there was one thing I could change about it, the girl sitting on the right kind of breaks it a bit. I might try a version with her cropped out.
As far as the processing goes, I like the way the firework itself turned out, it looks super clean. I think the foreground is a bit bright, I might try adding a graduated filter to that. There are two people in the crowd with a lot of motion blur on them, I might try to make that less obvious (I'd either try burning or clone stamping myself), and try to get rid of the power lines.
Thank you so much for the input! The foreground being too bright is probably me getting too heavy handed trying to bring it up.This is definitely more post than I do with most of my shots. As far as the girl I have a few other frames with her up with her parents and some with her blurred while running back and forth. In hind sight maybe one with her blurred would have been a better choice fir the theme of this contest.
