A portrait I took of an actor earlier this year. This was an experimental shoot in which I built the photo set using big foam insulation boards connected like a V-flat to make "walls", and attached platinum reflective mylar to them.
Shot using the original Canon 5D with a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens attached, set to f/13, 1/160th sec, ISO 100. Lit using two Neewer C300 flash units with color gels as the only modifiers.
The effort you put into this image is commendable. Would like to know why you chose this image in particular for the contest entry?
A story can be conveyed in many different ways, body language and emotion being one that I find is both subtle and effective. The rest is up to individual interpretation.
