The locally famous smokestacks at the long shuttered electric power cogeneration plant at Morro Bay, CA., often referred to as "the Three Fingers." A landmark recognized throughout the region, which is now being considered for demolition as the property is being repurposed. Two camps exist, one that supports the removal of this "eyesore" on the landscape; the other, traditionalists who see these as the most iconic symbol of the town (a harbor/commercial fishing location, in which the stacks are used by mariners as a directional aide). I'm of the second camp.
