2.48 - "Needs Work"

"Smile that melts hearts"
Shot outdoors in a park. It was early February so pretty chilly (as far as UK "chilly standard" goes) but Zara chose an outdoor shoot nevertheless. She was a trooper though even in the sleeveless top (she did wear a warm jacket just off the shoulders and the frame).

I used Nikon Z5 + 85mm 1.8S and two YongNuo speedlights (one in 37 inch octabox and second one in 16inch round softbox) + 30inch reflector close to the octabox / main light.

Minimal retouch - just skin blemishes taken out as well as some of the flyaway hair plus a subtle colour grading.

Of course, the main focus was on the work with Zara and making her feel comfortable to produce a smile like that.

I know her top has a strong, colourful pattern (I wouldn't normally go for) but I think it works here as one of her choices - considering she works for Disney, often as a princess so something more interesting was fitting in this case.

I'm jealous, this is exactly what I wanted to get shots like... Wow, just wow

Thank you. If you pursue your craft and connect with the person in front of your camera, you will get such shots đź‘Ť
