2.75 - "Solid"

This was the very last shot from an hour long shoot on the beach. I asked if she was willing to put the very rough sand into her hair, and she was all for it. I originally shot this a bit wider to show the background along with her elbows and chest, but I really liked the tight crop when I tried it out so I kept it. The large amount of MP on the D800 ensured that I was still able to get a solid print out of it even with the crop.

As far as retouching/post processing, the most dramatic change was the crop in post. I removed some stray hairs on her face, but wanted to leave some in to still have that messy look. Did a bit of dodge & burn that I do to all my work, and then some color grading using the Infinite Color panel.

Nikon D800 35mm 1/1250s f5 ISO100. Lit with a single beauty dish right above her.
