I met model Sara Lime in 2007 and quickly became good friends with her and her (then) boyfriend, Mike. Five years later, in 2012, they asked me to shoot their wedding vows. They wanted to keep everything simple, so it was just a civil ceremony with the Justice of the Peace at their home, followed by some wedding photos around sunset.
The main plan was to shoot the photos at a meditation garden in Pacific Palisades. When we arrived there, though, they told us we weren't allowed to shoot photos at the location. So, we went with Plan B and drove to Malibu to shoot the images at the beach. As painter Bob Ross used to put it, this was just a "happy accident." The sunset was amazing that night and scenery was beautiful. I'm happy to say they're still married and raising a beautiful family.
Shot with a Nikon D7000 and a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 AIS lens. Some post processing with tones and colors in Photoshop and LightRoom, but not much else done to it.
Love how well you have framed them against those rocks.
