I'm not a pro wedding photographer, hell, I'm not even a pro anything photographer. But I help out my friends when they ask.
In terms of gear, it was a nikon D7100 with a nikkor 35mm prime. Light was an SB600 flash, pointed more or less directly up with a bunch card, and the shutter speed was nice and slow to let as much of the venue lighting seep in. In terms of post processes, nothing major, I like my photos to feel imperfect. Boosted the saturation a little.
I can never tell if this is a great photo, or simply that I love it because seeing my friend take her niece onto the dance floor, to boogie away to a song written just for the wedding day (the singer at the back of the photo is also a friend of the bride) warms my heart.
Cropping off the little girls leg and the bottom of the dress hurt the image overall. If you have Photoshop, you can extend the canvas size on the left and bottom, then use the Generative Fill to restore what was lost. You can also edit out the dark object on the bottom right and crop off the right end to get rid of that glaring blue light.
That would turn it into a more pleasing image for the bride.
