2.13 - "Needs Work"

During Jacki and Ari's welcome toast at their wedding reception in Roaring Camp Rail Roads' barn, I captured a moment that felt both intimate and lively. My setup included two off-camera flashes and one on-camera flash with a bounce modifier, creating a spotlight effect on the couple while keeping the guests in the background.

From behind the couple, I ensured the chandeliers and the guests' faces were in the frame, with the couple in the center. I used my Nikon Z6ii with a 50mm prime lens for its fast autofocus in low light. I also wanted a narrower aperture, with the couple sharp against a softer background.

This photo captures a candid moment, reflecting the genuine atmosphere and emotion of the reception. It's a straightforward snapshot showcasing the couple, beautifully lit against the lively backdrop of their guests.
