Unique Lighting

This is my late dog, Cocoa. She passed away unexpectedly at a relatively young age. I'm so glad I have the pictures that I took of her as she was a beloved member of our family. I positioned her in front of the of a softbox for the shot. I taped a piece of black construction paper onto the softbox which served as a black background directly behind Cocoa. This allowed the light to wrap around her outline which is the basis of the rim light effect. I cleaned up the photo in Photoshop.
