I took this picture this past Mother's Day overlooking the Wisconsin State Capitol. I went there with my wife and dog to take some pics and enjoy a nice little picnic.
Out of nowhere it started getting dark and before we knew it, it was super windy, heavy rain and branches were going everywhere. I wanted to get some pics of this weather as I am an amateur and mainly shoot pics of our dog for Instagram.
As I'm still new to photography, I had no time to try to get the perfect settings for this scene. I think I captured a pretty good picture my first time trying this type of landscape photography.
I'm not looking to win, but I would like some nice and basic critiquing of what I could have done better. Thx in advance
