This was from a bike ride today in Marin County, on Bolinas Ridge. Beach fog was flowing over the top of the ridge, and in the thin but visible fog, my friend climbed the hill into the distance on his gravel bike. The image, to me, evokes both the spirit of adventure (due to the way fog limits visibility, with both my riding partner and the forest road receding into it), as well as the graciousness and beauty of Mother Nature as she chooses to allow us the privilege of participating in her world.
I took this photo on my iPhone 15 Pro using the 48 MP "1x" lens, in 48 MP using ProRAW in Apple's built-in camera app. ProRAW DNGs are incredibly deep files with obscene amounts of shadow and highlight data. I edited the DNG in Capture One Pro 22, including cropping the original 4x3 to 3x2.
