While Amsterdam offers many photo opportunities many are overused and literary jump at viewers from all social media feeds. Luckily, you can still find some places which are not so exposed in media but still give both photographers and their audience a thrill. Such is this classic cityscape view of Phillips building taken across the calm waters of Amstel from Somerlust Park. While planning the shoot I wanted to try the long exposure with my iPhone which is not possible using the default Camera app so I've tried few alternatives and finally decided on one called Slow Shutter. Of course, tripod is a must for long exposure, and I was lucky to borrow friends PD Travel tripod which compact size and dedicated phone mount was much appreciated! Having the necessary prerequisites, exposure time of 60 seconds was not a problem and I'm very pleased with results (the only dilemma I had was choosing the image to post :). Hope you like it too!!
