This is a view of Uluru in the Northern Territory, Australia, from a visit I did late last year. Aside from the magic of this place, I found the size of ‘the rock’ absolutely mesmerizing, both up close and from a distance.
I like this photo because it portrays the vastness of the Australian desert in contrast to the enormity of Uluru, which rises over 500 meters from the ground to its highest point.
The photo was taken with a Canon R5 and a 15-35mm lens at 35mm, handheld at 1/10 of a second with an aperture of f/7.1.
The image was fully edited in Lightroom Classic, where I did some noise reduction and worked on the contrast in the sky and foreground to create different layers and visually separate Uluru from the ground.
