This will be the best image I shot in 2024.
I've been to this pot many times, but never was able to catch a good sunrise / sunset. This time wasnt looking good at first, with completely overcast sky, but shortly before sunset the clouds started to get more and more colorful.

The plan was to do some exposure bracketing for higher dynamic range, as the clouds were moving SUPER FAST, I went for a super short shutter speed to not mess up the HDR later (also used something like ISO 6400 here).

Once back home it turned out there was too much movement invloved in the images and merging an HDR just didnt look good. So I used one underexposed image (to have all the details in the highlights) and started recovering this photo in Lightroom by cranking up exposure, shadows and blacks. As this was shot at high ISO this obviously added a ton of noise, but luckily lightroom AI denoise did a great job of getting rid of that!

Beautiful image. Not sure if there was a way to create a separation between the mountain reflection and the rocks on the right side of the image

P.S. Love your Youtube channel
