I photographed this when casually driving through the farmlands two winters ago. A blizzard reduced the visibility and threw the snow all over the place. I almost gave up photographing, and then, I got a minute gap between the winds and saw this scene. I immediately jumped out of the car at -25 degrees Celsius and took a few pictures before rushing into the car. When post-processing, I tried many iterations, but nothing looked good. Eventually, I decided to make it B&W (there wasn't any color anyway), make the whites 100% focus on the few dark trees, and add more contrast. This is a single-shot image. I was drawn to this image after creating a 56-inch 4:3 canvas still hanging in my room. Somehow, minimalism works better on a canvas than on a screen. It's photographed using the GFX 100s @ f8, 1/500 ss and ISO 100.
