TL;DR Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Africa during a storm.
I decided to go on a safari in the Serengeti, armed with just a Fujifilm X-T20 and an 18-55mm kit lens. The challenge was to approach safari photography with the limitations of a short focal length, which forced me to focus on the broader scene rather than zooming in on the animals. During a heavy storm, we stopped near a tree where a lioness was sheltering from the rain. With my lens unable to capture her clearly, I shifted my focus and composed a shot that highlighted the stormy atmosphere, the fog, and the tree at the center. I was drawn to the leading lines formed by the puddles in the grass, which added depth to the scene.
