I took this photo from a top the Bogue Inlet Pier in Emerald Isle while waiting for sunset. I was experimenting with panning on sets of waves as they came in. I was too lazy to put a ND filter on to slow down my shutter speed. Instead I set the camera to f/20 and ISO 50 to get a slow enough shutter speed that would get the streaks in the waves I was looking for. I believe the shutter speed was around 1/6 or something. The RAWs were still a little over exposed but not too bad that they couldn't be brought back.

So I stood there for a few minutes and just panned from left to right as sets of waves came and clicking the shutter when the waves were about parallel with me. This one was my favorite of the bunch and had the type of effect I was trying to achieve. This was my first and only time ever trying this. I need to get back out to the ocean and try this some more.
