Maroon Bells - Just outside Aspen Colorado. Its an extremally common photo location, that you can drive up to if you get out early enough, but my Dad always wanted a photo of it in Fall he could hang up. Watched the weather for a few weeks and got lucky with the fresh snow on the mountain and the yellow leaves on the aspen trees. Taken with an Canon M5 with an adapted EF-S 18-55 mm f3.5-5.6 (the basic kit lens) @ F9.0 ISO 100 1/50 second at 22 mm.
Its a single image, with primary lightroom adjustments for contrast, exposure and saturation. There is a small amount of clone stamping to remove some other photographers from the right side of the image.
I've long since given up fighting the crowds of people looking for a sunrise photo at this place. So the last time I went, I drove my car up there around 5 pm (which you can't do in the morning), had the place mostly all to myself, and got a really nice sunset photo.
Yea its a bit crazy the number of people out there for the sunrise photo. Must have been 150 photographers when i was there. It is possible you can get a reservation to drive up there for sunrise now. but you have to reserve ahead of time.
