Found parking at an impossible location, hiked up a hill with all my gear, spent 4 hours at this location to secure my vantage point, captured images throughout golden and blue hours, ran out of battery, then spent multiple hours in PS blending images... and I'm sure it will still receive a rating of 2. But you know the great value and merit of that shot. BE PROUD OF IT!

Absolutely! It will be proudly hanging on my wall for many years.

This is fantastic!

Thanks Kyle!

Fantastic photo. Worth at least three or four stars. My thoughts for you to consider or ignore:

The photo seems to break in the middle with warm yellow colors on the left, and blue tones on the right. As it appears, it looks like two pictures with different white balance stitched together. Consider balancing the color... if it were my decision, I'd warm the clouds and buildings on the right.

The photo seems to run out of momentum as my eye travels right to left. The parking lot is certainly far less interesting than the Saddledome. Maybe crop just to the left of the ferris wheel and keep the focus on strong visual elements? Either way, I'd feel bad scoring the image a two because I appreciate the time and effort, but nevertheless I think it can be slightly improved.

Hi Ed, I greatly appreciate your time to critique my image and provide feedback. I do have a version of the image with the left side of the image cropped out due to the lack of interest with the parking lot. For the final image, I decided to leave it in to create symmetry between the warm and cool tones. In addition, the race track is a vital part of the Calgary Stampede and although it lacks interest compared to the fair grounds and skyscrapers, it does complete the Stampede theme.
