That is the second time my tiger photography has featured on a fstoppers "critique the community" and the first time I have won anything.
Firstly, thank you for the 2nd prize. How do I send you a personal message?
Secondly, both times you reviewed my images, you have felt that they may have been taken in a zoo. Let me assure you that both times they have been taken in the wild.
Finally, the dirt track that seemed to put you off is for the safari vehicles to use and because they are kinder on the paws of the tigers they do walk some considerable distances on these dirt tracks.
Lee, as to the 2nd place winner Anju Rawla’s charging tiger, I interpreted Anju’s reference to a 600 PF & and Z9 & the 600mm PF, as a “Prime Lens” or Prime Focal Length lens. Which is not only the case but if fact is a Nikkor -

A very big thank you to Fstoppers and the Fstoppers community.
This is a great honor, I really appreciate this photo being selected in 1st place and that you understood how difficult it was to get this shot.
To answer a couple of questions from the YouTube video, the model was about 10 feet in the air and I was lying on the ground underneath and slightly to the front of her. There was a very light breeze blowing and I timed the shots I took to coincide with small gusts as they came through. The modifier used was the standard diffuser that came with the AD600.
Thank you again for selecting this image.
A comment was made about Contests being hard on some people. Sure I would like to get pats on the back. Thats what facebook is for me. lol.. Here I just like to participate. I know my stuff isnt the best out there but I like it. If I get 1.5 ratings over all that means that some of you guys dont see my photos as "just" snapshots and thats cool with me. Patrick and Lee are great guys and its cool they take time to interact with us. I learn here. I like being here. Peace....
