The next session was for the Earth.
I arranged to have the dancers travel to the Mohave, and I took a smoke machine, six strobes, and four modifiers. It was 40 degrees F at night with a wind of 15 MPH. This, again, was a series that yielded 8 images, but since this contest only allows 3, I picked two from the Water series and one from Earth. I used a generator and smoke machine, backlit with two strobes from behind the smoke and one keylight from the front. Since the air was swirling, I had to instruct the dancers to begin their choreography when I felt the wind was in my favor.
