Canon and Sony Shooters Probably Shouldn’t Wait for Black Friday Because These Prices Are Amazing

Instead of waiting for the chaos of Black Friday, you might want to check out some of the fantastic deals available right now if you’re in the market for a new camera or lens. There are some huge discounts on a massive range of Canon gear, and the price of the Sony a7 III has just dropped 10%.

If I were buying a new mirrorless camera right now, I’d have a hard time choosing between the Sony a7 III — which is suddenly $200 cheaper, down to $1,798 from $1,998 — or the Canon EOS R, which instead of being priced at $2,299, can now be snapped up for a mere $1,799. If you’re on a tighter budget, the Canon EOS RP is now less than a grand, giving a massive saving of $300.

DSLR fans are not missing out either. Whether it’s an early Christmas gift for someone as their first camera or as a backup body, the recently Canon EOS Rebel SL2 is now $150 cheaper at just $549, and that’s with the 18-55mm kit lens. If that’s not cheap enough, the Rebel T6 is a tiny $399, again with the kit lens, with the best savings of the entire sale if you grab the deal that also bundles in the 75-300mm lens.

Speaking of lenses, there are more great savings to be had. One of my favorite primes, the Canon 40mm pancake is currently $70 cheaper at $129, and the APS-C equivalent is down $50 at $99.

Is this just so we click on your referral links?

Good thing I wasn't drinking milk when I read this! It would have gone through my nose!

Canon still tries to sell this horrible 75-300mm lens..? Goodness...

Every mfr has garbage-ish lenses and good lenses

Nah, I'll wait for the next Canon iterations and make my selection from:

- 1DX Mk III
- 5D Mk V
- Pro mirrorless

On my first choice, I found this surprising. It looks as if the 1DX Mk III is closer to reality than I thought!

Man I wish that RP took an LP-E6N battery. For the price, that would be a great secondary camera to keep in a bag just in case the main camera failed. I just can't justify having two different batteries and chargers for the just in case scenario.

That's the only reason I haven't bought one as well. I think they really missed the boat on that feature.

Thanks for the info, is this sale only at B&H?
