I think you handled the lighting quite well in this shot though I do think you need to tone down her arm a bit as my eye is drawn to the lightest area in the image which in this case, is here arm.
One small thing, I think the crop is a bit off balance and they need to be pulled back a bit more to the right.

It's a nice photos however I think there shold have been a bit more seperation between mum's clothing and the background.
