Rowan amongst the Rocks

Images from a shoot with Rowan (IG @maine_wanderlass) on the coast of Maine. This niche of a cave had beautifully colored and textured stone. The light is reflected sunlight, which was practically overhead at this point and rather glaring when we were unsheltered.

Hi, nice location for an outdoor shoot!

I'm wondering if the white balance is correct, seems a bit on the orange side or too much saturation? I'm wondering what they would look like in b&w?

The model seems at ease, comfortable doing those. The angle on the third one could be different for a better caption?

Also I'd like to see more of that beautiful natural location, perhaps some wider shots?

Hmm, it certainly could be. I think I may have used the "Adobe Vivid" profile for some of these which may have had that effect. I also was editing to try to reduce some of the paler areas of her tan lines, and perhaps messed things up there in trying to bring back some color and texture to that skin.

I generally tend towards the color rather than b&w, but you may be right there. I'll go back and experiment with that.

As for the model - she is wonderful, highly recommended if you're planning a shoot in the Maine/NH area.

The location is not a lot bigger than what you see in the images, but there's more on my Flickr if you're interested. If you can't access the Flickr, drop me a line, glad to share.

Thanks for the feedback!

I know this is nude art group but I really like the first one, there is a certain flow from her body to her hair to the rocks. Fits the concept of layers.

I am fond of that one myself. And just because it's a nude group doesn't mean necessarily things need to be exposed, I guess, even if the model happened to be nude at the time. :)
