Hey, Welcome!
I think the pose is too straight and stiff. Maybe could have used some bending (arms/legs) and/or twisting of the body.
The last two comments are right on the nose, but let's face it, you have to start somewhere and your off to a good start.
You can cut the legs off just above the knee but never cut the arms of if at all, possible
KEEP SHOOTING!!!
Hey Eddie, George and Bill,
i thank you for your comments and your helping critiques!
I try to think about it the next times!
A great start. Perhaps having her head turned toward us would have softened the pose, and eye contact rarely hurts :). Beautiful model and great start!
Having read all the previous comments, Alexander, I can see the possibility of alternative crops, and arching the model's back more.
However, to me these basic aspects of the "portrait" and its composition as you've presented it are excellent (indeed a thumbnail of this image has just prompted me to join this Group) and don't NEED improving. There are always other valid possibilities. Ditto with the contrast.
I think the pose of your beautiful model is itself quite beautiful. The necklace adds a clever teasing touch to enhance the eroticism without being gross. Well done. And the low-key, low-contrast approach seems like a personal stylistic choice.
Personally, I find the background distracting, and unfortunately the slight imperfections in it made me think of cheap motels, taking the image to a whole undesirable territory!
Excellent first post, Alexander!
