Hey Everyone,
My name is Zak and I would love some feedback on a couple photos. Most of my photography background has been events / concerts and documentary type work and its really left me with a weakness when it comes to directing and posing people. I have decided to really dig in on that area to grow as photographer. Last night I did my first shoot where I really focused on poses and direction and would love some thoughts on the photos in general. Thanks!
Hi Zak, my opinion only, I can tell the model is not tall, so with that in mind you'll want to shoot from a lower angle to give her some height. Also when a model does not have the build of your fashion models use light and shadows to do some trimming for you. Top image - pose her where she can give a "S" shape in her body (look this up in the all mighty google oracle" also have her "tuck and lift" tummy in chest out, works for even smaller breasted women. Bottom image - do not bend the legs as this adds bulk to her, go for a longer bend (heel should be move just pass her knee of the other leg), also have the other leg slightly bent. also ask her to put her weight on her bum and add a little arch in her back. Move either yourself or her head to so all the white of her eyes isn't to one side. Again tuck and lift on this one too. It's not too hard to pose models just have a look on various sites and study those poses, I look at lot at Pinterest as there are posing diagrams that works very well.
