Hey, the images looks great! I'm no master in the craft of boudoir but she seems really fine with the shooting. In my opinion images lacks a bit of contrast, both from post production and maybe the use of only 1 light. Also when light is behind her, beware of the little human fur that shows up. The last thing is seeing a girl with high heels shoes on the cushions, I know a lot of images has this thing, but I've always found it very weird. The first images for me it's the winner, i'm posting a little fix I've tried
Amazing, thank you. You are absolutely right I should’ve fixed the little fur when lighting from behind. Great advice thank you. I was working with one light but I know I can do better, that needs practicing. She definitely wanted to wear heals in the bed too so I had absolutely no chance but to say yes. My style reflects the edits, this is the style I’m happy with using on my portraiture work as well so it matches with that. It took me more than two years to find out what my style is and I know that it always changes I’m with with it at the moment. Maybe it doesn’t work well with boudoir, so I will definitely try adding a bit of contrast to find out if I like it or not - and more importantly my client likes it or not.
Thank You Again Michele for the effort you have put into your comment. I truly appreciate it.
You're welcome! you're right if that's your style, go for it! I wish I could shoot more boudoir, but it's a niche hard to push in covid times like these... If you want to understand more go for Kara Marie, lone morch or the one that I love the most, julienlrvr (really pushing boudoir to glam and editorial). And on youtube you can find Micheal Sasser!
What I like most about these images is the intimacy you get from getting close to your subject like you did here. I think the back light can work but it's a bit strong and really draws attention to itself as opposed to subtly adding its flavor and blending in more with the tone of the room. You could try experimenting with a colored gel as well.
