Milky way with cheap gear

Hello to the Fstoppers Astrophotography Community,

I just posted an image of the milky way which I shot using a, nowadays cheap, Sony NEX-6 and a very old Rikenon 50mm F1.4 lense. I took 24 single exposures and stitched them in post. Lense aberration and noise are obvious but I'm still happy with the result.
I did not find too many images online that were shot using similar kind of gear combos or equivalent focal lengths close to 75mm. So, maybe some of you whose camera bags are not packed with the best low-light cameras and a bunch of fast lenses get inspired for their next night time photo shoot.

Would be great to hear from you what kind of gear you use and especially how you approach to work around your gear's limitations.

This is an image shot on a Canon 6D and a 50L lens. Many times the more expensive lenses are much worse than the cheaper Rokinon lenses.
