I finally got a decent lens night photography (Nikon 14-24). This is single 30s exposure with a 1sec iPhone light inside the tent Nikon Df, 15mm, f/2.8, ISO 1600. PP in LR. Any suggestions?
Thanks. Not much planning went into this one. We camped two nights. I had my gear, so why not give it a go. This was about 11:30pm. I woke up at 3am and the moon was gone, but my lighting assistant (wife) was sound asleep, so no tent light. If I had to do it over, I would bump up the ISO to 3200 and decrease the exposure time. 30s seems to be at the limit to avoid star movement.
As good as it gets with the moon that visible! All I can say is next time plan around a new moon and you’re golden
