Molecular clouds around the great nebula in Orion

Imaged with a stock Canon 6D i and a 550mm f/5.5 refractor (Espirit 100) which would be similar to a 500mm L lens but with flat field. ~ 5.5 hours worth of exposures, mostly 180s but it is HDR to get the dust out and not blow out the super bright core of the nebula.

wow thats nice well done

Spectacular. Love to know how to do this

I use ioptron’s CEM25p and IEQ45 Pro for tracking mounts. The CEM25p is like a SkyGuider on steroids but is still light weight and portable.

Thanks robert. Will look at it

I might write an article / guide on how I do it in the future, will let you know if I get it completed.

Please do. Do you have a website with info? I think you will find that there is a lot of interest in this.

If I make it will post here on Fstoppers : )

I unique basic format would be great. Some of the videos and writing assume that people know what cem25p or - ieq45 is. Also taking darks and lights. I am sure this type of photography is relative easy although time consuming but it is hard to find out how to do it and knows what tools to buy etc
