I live in the suburbs almost close to country area in PA. This is my first time trying astrophotography. I shot this in my backyard, as I did not want to drive to the actual rural farm land area. I thought that this came out pretty decent for my first time trying. Shot with the Canon 80d and the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. 20 second shutter because I shot it at 18mm. Edited in lightroom.
Nice shot, Kyle.
If you want to light your foreground instead of using silhouettes, there are quite a few inexpensive LED panels available now. Setting one at a really low light level for part of your 20-second exposure will light most close objects effectively if it's placed well.
That is the Orion constellation, the slightly brighter spot at the center is the nebula.
