Skye Leake's picture

Quick feedback please :)

I am mostly worried about color balance in this image, not one for over-saturated image (especially with dark backgrounds), I am worried it has been pushed too far. I am curious what others think.

- I missed tack-sharp on the stars... oops. :/
- I had to do some perspective warp to fight the 10mm distortion of the lens. I have pushed the lighthouse as close to vertical as I dare.

Thanks all!

Hey! Color balance is fine. But lack of any focus discards this photo for me, sorry.

Focus meaning sharpness or comp/subject matter?

Yeah I was a little bummed about the softness of the image when I was done editing. I am not amazing in photoshop so lost some sharpness there as well as the raw files not being the best through a limitation of experiance shooting in pitch black and the setup not being perfect for astro.

Live and learn I guess.

Sharpness. Yes, I've been there too after my first Milky Way session. :) There are many ways to get stars in focus. I personally use the LCD screen zoom to check it. Also remember about the 500 rule.
