It's been a rough few months for astrophotography in Washington with constant cloud cover. Finally had a window of clear skies on Friday so I drove to these ancient basalt pillars to test my newly astromodified Sony A6000 and star tracker on Orion. The sky is tracked at 3 minutes, F/2.8, ISO 800 and then shot a foreground exposure at the same settings with the tracker turned off (without moving the tripod.)
