First Real Attempt at a Milky Way Shot (from my backyard)

So this is my first time really trying to get a shot of the milky way and man did I underestimate how difficult astrophotography can be. Lighting the foreground was especially hard as well as properly blending the multiple exposures. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to trying this again with a darker sky someplace!

Pretty darn good man!

Thank you!

Honestly done pretty well! Foreground could be better, but I understand the struggle of having to work with what you have. What lens?

This was a refurbished nikon 14-24. I've been back and forth A LOT about this lens vs the tamron 15-30. Haven't tried the tamron out yet for astro, but I've really enjoyed the Nikon so far!

Lucky you can even get that from your backyard! Just go out and shoot whenever it's clear and around new moon. Research light pollution maps, scout out your composition in the day time, or use Google earth if you're not able to.
