Neowise from the Texas Hill Country

I moved to San Antonio about a month ago, just as Neowise was coming into view. Unfortunately, it was too low for me to see in the morning, and I had to wait a couple of weeks to be able to catch it in the evening.

I met up with a buddy of mine from Austin in the middle of our homes in Fredricks burg and we went to Johnson State park to try and capture the comet. Here are two of my shots from that session. I used my Pentax K-1 and Pentax 15-30mm @ 15mm

Both are single 2 minute subs on a regular camera tripod, but shot using the Astrotracer function of the K-1 which moves the sensor for up to 5 minutes to track the stars.

ISO 2500
f/3.5

The 1st image is a crop from the full frame (different image).
