Aggie Barn by Night

Shooting star caught through the center of the Milky Way at the Aggie Barn. I've been meaning to make it out here for some Astro for a while. I'ts only fitting to have done so now during my (hopefully) final year as a PhD student at Texas A&M.

Wasn't expecting the shooting star at all. I had actually walked back to my car before I saw the milky way had moved enough that I could set up a nice composition from a different angle of the barn. Tried a couple last shots and got lucky.

This Great! Luck it is not! Like a PhD is not, Planning and a little prayer for good weather, you see a foreground subject then the dream you have of a shot for it may take a year or more. Also the shooting star is a gift from above while the shutter is open for you can do 20 times or so but always see one while shutter closed. A wall hanger for sure in that future office!!! Just keep dreaming...

Thanks Edwin!
