This is a stack composite of two shots from the Geminid meteor shower. I tried photographing them 3 years ago (to the day) and I only managed to catch one during a test shot (terribly noisy and not focused). So I was determined to catch at least one this time. I found an area with less light pollution (but it was still a battle) and watched some more tutorials. This time I managed to get 5 photos (2 with light pollution over a lake and the other was just the tail of a brilliant one). The exposure was 6 sec (and taken repeatedly), ISO 6400, f4.5 (the lowest my lens goes). Both images were edited before stacking. Mainly just darkening a bit and some sharpening/clarity. I haven't done much astrophotography so any critiques or suggestions are appreciated. I edit with Affinity Photo.
Hi mate! The shot looks fairly good, I think you could pull down that blue saturation slider a bit, and i would put something more into this composition for reference. This lonely tree is a bit distracting from the shooting stars, so maybe you could blend it with another foreground shot to make one seamless composition :)
Keep up the good work! :)
